*Per Caltrans Standards Specifications, Section 11-3.02, manufacturing plants certified under the applicable AISC Quality Certification Program may provide welding inspection personnel or NDT.

Modification to the process, materials, or procedures documented in the authorized audit may result in immediate termination of the fabricator’s audit. Fabricators are required to submit and receive authorization of amendments to audit documentation prior to implementation of modifications.

The Authorized Facility Audit List is intended to be part of the Department’s Quality Assurance program. When an entity other than the Department is performing quality verification acceptance activities, and per Deputy Directive 23 Revision 1(DD-23-R1), this entity is responsible for its own quality assurance program to ensure project components comply with Caltrans policies, standards, procedures, and best practices.
