Two Component Traffic Paint

Last edit date: 8/15/2024

Two-component painted traffic stripes and pavement markings are suggested for striping snow plowed roadways where other traffic striping materials have inadequate durability. They are also used for striping PCC surfaces. Using large gradation glass beads adds some wet night visibility as well as shortening the no track time. The two-component traffic stripe manufacturer recommends the type of large gradation glass beads to use. There are four classifications of two-component materials based on their no track times and resin types.

Specification requirements are located in Section 84-2.02F of the 2022 Standard Specifications and the 2022 Standard Special Provisions.

Evaluation Criteria: Authorization Procedures and Acceptance Criteria for Two-Component Traffic Striping Paint.

The two-component traffic striping paint products below are grouped into 4 classifications based on their resin type and typical no-track times at 25°C.
