Producers of Lime Used in Soil Stabilization or Aggregate Lime Treatment in HMA

General: Products on this Authorized Material List (AML) have been evaluated and found acceptable for use on California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) projects, provided the products are used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Products on this list are subject to additional Job Control testing during construction or installation.

The following producer(s) and plants of lime have been authorized by the Transportation Laboratory for use when specifications allow or require the use of lime for soil stabilization or aggregate lime treatment in HMA. Refer to section 24-2 and Section 39-2 of the 2015 Standard Specifications and to the Project’s Special Provisions for further requirements.

Materials on the AML will require reauthorization five (5) years after the date they are added to the AML.

*As attested to by the supplier as of April 14, 2026 per definition in 2 CFR 184 and 23 CFR 635.410. Stakeholders should use this information in conjunction with corresponding Caltrans special provision section 6-1.04 to understand applicable requirement for the project.
